Prince William Not Just an 'Ornament'

Trying to make his 'own way', he and Harry throw themselves into charitable projects

Share

(Newser) – Prince William wants to be more than just an “ornament,” and is working with his brother on charities in an attempt to find his "own way," he tells the BBC. He and Prince Harry formed the Princes’ Charities Forum to help groups pool resources, and a patron who works with him says the forum is “much more than a gimmick.” One homeless teen who recently met William found him “dead down to earth.”

“There's a time and a place for being an ornament as such. Or you know, shaking hands and being at an engagement and showing support in that way,” Wills says. “But I think there's an awful lot more from actually doing stuff. And this is an example of what I just want to be actually more involved in.”

British boot lickers love their expensive-to-maintain useless, freeloading, royals...and so do many American boot lickers as well. Reply

One Of A Kind/ Princess Di For those of us who believe and for what it's worth, that there are and have been Angels right here on earth As Elegant as a swan as compassionate as a Nun, hearts all over the world hands down she's won, she used her wealth and brillant mind to help ellimate land mines, she focused on the poorest among mankind She had a rare and genuine soft spot, for people with incurable diseases, she looked beyond what they had and she showed them the love they needed, she was wealthy with lots of diamonds and gold which would have made it easy for her to turn up her nose instead a humanitarian in life, is what she chose She was young in years, old in soul, A tender mother something which came naturally, through her sons her work, still loudly speaks If we've learned anything at all from her existence it should have been, that each one of us can and should try to make a difference There's plenty theories of how she passed, let's focus more on how she lived, vengeance is mine said the lord we must let him do his work, in our heart she'll stay Alive, because God made only one "Princess Di" Poet:Tina Marie Clark Copyright:2007 Reply
