Knox Lied About Sex Murder Under Stress: Witness

Forty-hour interrogation disoriented suspect, neurologist testifies

Share

(Newser) – Amanda Knox was telling the truth when she said she was lying, a neurologist testified today. Professor Carlo Caltagirone, the final witness in Knox's 8-month trial, backed up the suspect's claim that she had confessed to overhearing Meredith Kercher's murder because of stress, the Daily Mail reports. "Situations of stress and tension can create false flashbacks,” Caltagirone said.

"She would have said anything to reduce the tension and stress and make the people questioning her happy," Caltagirone added. Knox’s lawyer has said Knox endured more than 40 hours of questioning over a 4-day period. At the time, Knox told police she "covered her ears" when bar owner Patrick Lumumba "killed Meredith." Lumumba, who is not a suspect, has filed suit against Knox for defamation.

Being questioned in those stressful circumstances for more than 40 hours would make you have false recollections and memories. She would have said anything to make the people questioning her happy.

You know jack chit of the type stress they speak off, I did Nam, also spent 5 1/2 months in a bamboo cage soaking wet 24/7 as rats swam by. Guards not feeding prisoners, torture, beatings if you said anything other than what they wanted to hear. The only way a person can survive that s to travel to a strange place in their heads, they see things not there, they hear crap not making a sound, tripping and insanity is the only salvation either that or they break you and you spill your guys telling them anything they want to hear even if a lie. Get some real experience before slamming someone under this type situation

ok....im not sure how your experience relates to the situation Amanda Knox is in right now...but I will say with almost 100% certainty that she will be found guilty. Im just saying that she doesnt hide it well.. i could tell she done it from day 1. its called instinct, and it comes from being able to analyze her actions and deduce that she is a strange nutcase killer bitch.

Sully, I totally disagree. The Italian legal system is crazy and she is stuck in it. They don't have anything to prove her guilt other than her losing her mind from being stuck in a foreign and bizarre legal system. Reply
