(Newser) – A 4-month-old baby boy was fatally wounded in a gang confrontation as he was being fed in a parked car in Los Angeles, police said. Andrew Garcia was rushed to a local hospital where he died. A pregnant family friend who was feeding Andrew was wounded. A teen with criminal connections, also shot, was standing close to the car when a gang member fired six times with a shotgun, police said. The infant was “caught in the middle,” a police spokesman told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s a disturbing crime scene.”

Andrew Garcia, 4 months old, was shot dead in the middle of a gang battle on the streets of Los Angeles.

@WallyEFunk yes i have since i am Italian and live in Italy. and i tell you that in italy there is plenty of shootouts particularly when mafia wars start (actually it is more camorra and 'ndrangheta than cosa nostra, but cosa nostra was able to place bombs iraq-style in public streets to kill judges so figure out their military potential) , but they make little or no news abroad. not to mention the non lethal use of machine guns to scare shop owners into paying for protection. i had a gun license , but strictly a 'hunting gun' one and i happened to receive offers from weird people and even one friend of mine (well kind of), a girl that later was , probably, murdered. i barely knew about illegal guns before, but practically i had just to choose and pay and could get even an AK. I kindly refused :P so i can tell you that yes, there is a black market of weapons in italy and yes, violent crimes involving firearms are commonplace and not just those 2 cases you found on the net, trust me.

Yes -Chicago gangs beat an hoonor student to death-and this-when will America declare war on gangs and not worry about the middle east-we have a greater chance of being shot by a gang member or having our car stolen than being blown up by a terrorist-we have terrorists right here in America-there called gangs-
