Writer Blames Clintons for Stalled DVD

'Path to 9/11' on hold as Hillary's campaign moves forward

(Newser) – The Clinton campaign has blocked the DVD release of "The Path to 9/11," the writer of the controversial miniseries tells the LA Times. Democrats criticized it when it aired last year, and writer Cyrus Nowrasteh says the Clintons don't like the way it portrays Bill's presidency. "This is a bad precedent, a dangerous precedent," he says.

Director Oliver Stone agrees: "This is a shame; it's censorship in the most blatant way." Nowrasteh claims a top ABC exec told him that "if Hillary weren't running for president, this wouldn't be a problem"; ABC says only that a release date hasn't been set, and the Clinton campaign didn't respond to requests for comment.
