(Newser) – Conspicuous celebrity consumption has reached new heights (or lows?): Three-year-old Suri Cruise reportedly has a designer wardrobe worth $3.2 million. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes “really splurge on” their daughter, sometimes commissioning top designers to make her custom outfits, a source tells the Sun. “Suri is very vocal when it comes to outfits. She's rarely seen in anything twice.”

one of her outfits must cost more than most everything I own. I wonder if they spend that much on clothes for the adopted kids...

Don't blame Tom and his kid, blame us. It's oour out of control idolatry and unwillingness to say no to ever growing actor salaries that create this mess. Support small independent films. To Hell with this crass, homogenized celluloid crap.

It could be more believable for a 3-year-old. I am wearing the same shoes I bought 6 months ago. The 3-year won't. I am wearing as I type this pants I bought 2 years ago. I'm willing to bet the 3-year-old can't. There may be a total of $3.2 mi, but I'm assuming much of that can't be worn anymore. And what 3-year-old needs to be seen in something ONLY ONCE???
