Newsmax scribe said Obama overthrow 'gaining possibility'

(Newser) – A Newsmax columnist—the conservative mag says he's a mere “unpaid blogger”—suggests that a military coup against the Obama administration is “gaining possibility.” “Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration,” writes John Perry in a column that got pulled from the Newsmax website after complaints. “Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars.”

In a statement to Talking Points Memo, the magazine says it "strongly believes in the principles of Constitutional government and would never advocate or insinuate any suggestion of an activity that would undermine our democracy or democratic institutions.” The piece got yanked "to ensure that this article was not misinterpreted.”

@dr three people would have had to see him write and post the essay, while I don't disagree that something bad should to this person, it is going to be difficult to prove treason. they could't have charge the soldier in Iraq who threw a grenade into a tent with treason under the same type of circumstances.

@dr so while the conservatives were busy fucking up the country what was the left doing, were they just hanging out on the hill or what? i mean they were there right, they did participate in the votes and all of that good stuff didn't they or have we just been paying them to fly them home and to europe and stuff. you would think that they would have something to do with the state of the country just a question..
