Imus Psyched to Join Fox

He cracks at Fox, 'we’re better people' with 'a much closer relationship with our Lord'

(Newser) – Don Imus is returning to TV today, and it doesn’t bother him at all that it’s on Fox Business Network. “The perception is that even their news is skewed toward opinion—not when I watch it. It's a fair news organization,” he tells Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post. “It's not my job to defend them," he continues, but cracks at Fox, “We’re better people and have a much closer relationship with our Lord."

Imus will likely get frequent visits from personalities like Bill O’Reilly or buddy Sean Hannity, but says he’s probably “more liberal than conservative,” and doesn’t expect to change. He’s also not worried about moving to a business network. “That’s our audience,” he says. “Upscale, high-income. We have to find a way to make fun of business people, but that should be easy.”

Glenn, you're starting to scare me, don't start crying. - Don Imus, in an interview with
Glenn Beck two weeks ago

It's the difference between being on television and being on an Etch-A-Sketch. - Don Imus, on going from previous TV network RFD (Rural Free Delivery) to
Fox Business

It's pretty hard to define where I am politically. People think I'm more liberal than I am conservative, which I probably am. - Don Imus

You got to love the Holier than thou attitude. It's turning into a radical version of the 700Club. Reply

looks like Fox isn't even attempting to appear "Fair and Balanced" anymore. The only commentators they're hiring anymore are right-wingers.

@Snowleopard: which I'd be really happy about if people like Imus didn't keep saying things like "It's a fair news organization". Let 'em be the conservative crazy channel, just so long as they admit it.
