Pilot, Crew Slug It Out on Air India Plane

Fisticuffs erupt over sex harassment complaint by flight attendant

Share

(Newser) – Pilots and crew members on an Air India jet came to blows mid-flight in an argument about sex harassment. Stunned passengers watched grappling staffers spill out of the cockpit into a galley. The fight erupted when a flight attendant complained about harassment by the pilots en route from Pakistan to New Delhi, reports BBC. Pilots claim the complaint was an attempt to derail a misconduct report about a male staffer. No one was seriously injured and the plane landed safely. Police are investigating.

You said it, armywife! I flew Air India way back in the seventies (only flight I could get). As I settled in after takeoff I opened my newspaper and read "Air India voted worst airline for 1973"!! Being young I just had a good laugh at that (but I didn't show the onboard staff the paper!).

India - home of meditation, enlightenment, vegetarianism, peace, love and 3D in flight entertainment :-) What was the movie, "Sikhs on a Plane" lol.....sorry - couldn't resist it! I can just imagine Samuel L Jackson breaking up the fight with the immortal phrase - "I'm sick and tired of all these....." ha ha ha - If you've seen the movie - you know the quote! Reply
