Fey: Palin Wig 'Will Come Out of the Closet'

Tina Fey on her Sarah Palin impersonation, Steve Carell, and being a workaholic

Share

(Newser) – Tina Fey talks about many things in her interview with Laura Brown for Harper’s Bazaar—her “Halloween wig”-like hair, her “Tootsie”-like glasses—but the most important news? The resurrection of her Sarah Palin impersonation. “I feel like I've probably not worn that wig for the last time. At some point, it will come out of the closet,” she says, marveling over the way her impression “had some strange weight to it. It was weird. I'm not a pundit.”

Fey also waxes eloquent on her typical day (“Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed.”), her thoughts on exercise (“Yoga classes go on 80 or 90 minutes,” she says, and “you will still die.”), and her upcoming projects—a humor book “full of incredibly angry ranting” and Date Night with Steve Carell, which will allow her to “officially put on my résumé, 'Special skills: stands next to funny person.'”

Forget Palin, she doesn't govern anything. If SNL had brass balls they'd make greater use of the bottomless Treasure Trove of Obama-Biden-Reid-Bitchlosi material. Reply

Asked for her foreign-affaire experience, Sarah Palin replied "I she can see Russia from her house". Brilliant. classic humor. Funny stuff, indeed. SNL exposed her empty-headed shallowness to the nation. I'll so grateful, and I', along with millions of others, will never forget that.

@Tim - Miss this one? Or just 'forget' like elephants seem to do these days? http://www.newser.com/story/71211/honeymoons-over-for-snl-obama.html

Hmm. You seem to define "having brass balls" as "being insane".
