Father of Terror Suspect Zazi Indicted

Mohammed Zazi, 53, charged with lying to federal investigators

(Newser) – The father of indicted terror suspect Najibullah Zazi was himself indicted today in Denver, on charges he made false statements to authorities about terrorism. Among the specific allegations: Mohammed Zazi, 53, lied to the FBI when asked if he’d contacted someone about his 24-year-old son’s troubles. The charges could land Mohammed Zazi an 8-year jail sentence.
