'I'm very prudish,' actress explains
(NEWSER) - Out of a long profile in the Guardian , this tidbit from Carey Mulligan: "I haven't seen myself naked in the mirror for probably a decade. I'm very prudish." It's an especially surprising revelation considering Mulligan just starred in Shame, a film about a sex addict that required her to appear nude. The role was a challenge for her, she explains, because the character she played is "such an exhibitionist, such an extrovert. I tend to clamp up on camera, but this meant working with no inhibitions. I mean, I don't wear a bikini on the beach. I walk around my house in pajamas." More»
