Kids Helped Split Up Chris Evert, Greg Norman

Tennis champ, golf star had trouble blending families

(Newser) – Tension with Chris Evert's teenage sons and Greg Norman's twentysomething offspring helped split up the sports superstars after just 15 months of marriage, sources close to the couple say. Evert's previous husband, Andy Mill, had been Norman's best friend before he and Evert left their spouses, and that contributed to the tension. "Greg got in between Andy and his sons, which caused a great deal of turmoil for Chris," a source tells People.

Meanwhile, "It wasn't a good relationship with the kids and her," Norman's kids' maternal grandmother says of Evert. "Chris and Greg both had big egos, they were both celebrities."

(NEWSER) - Despite his very recent, very public split with wife Heidi Klum, Seal visited Ellen DeGeneres' show yesterday and had only nice things to say about his soon-to-be-ex. He's still wearing his ring because it's "a token of how I feel about this woman," he says in a clip obtained by the Huffington Post . "We have eight years, eight wonderful years together. And just because we have decided to separate doesn't necessarily mean that you take off your ring and you're no longer connected to that person. (AP) - Aretha Franklin won't be getting fitted for a wedding gown after all: She's called off her engagement . A statement released yesterday by her rep said Franklin's wedding to Willie Wilkerson wasn't going to happen. "Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time," Franklin said.
