As Mike Tyson prepares for his Oprah appearance today, ex-wife Robin Givens recalls her abuse at his hands—and gives advice to anyone who is in a similar situation. “Zero tolerance,” she tells OK! “I don’t care if you read his BlackBerry, I don’t care if you yell too loud, I don’t care if you have a big mouth. There’s never any reason for a man to hit you.”

As for Tyson’s Oprah interview, “I think it’s great,” she says. “I stand here before you hoping that he owns up to what he did.” Women enduring abuse must realize “your life is in danger,” she says—but, when thinking about people like Rihanna, Givens admits she does “understand how you can go back. I do understand. The first time I was hit, I wasn’t married, and I went back.” (More Robin Givens stories.)
