Celebs Bitch Away on Twitter—at Their Peril
More and more, stars are using social networking to rant about other stars

Thanks to Twitter, celebrities are getting candid and crass in public: The social networking site offers “a kind of faceless anonymity,” one editor tells the Los Angeles Times, leading stars—who might otherwise hide behind a publicist—to tweet their dirty laundry for all the world to see. And lately, their bitching has been about each other.
Recent feuds between Perez Hilton and Demi Moore, Spencer Pratt and Ryan Seacrest, and Kanye West and Pink have graced the pages of Twitter—and those are just a few of the celebrities using the microblogging service to rant. “Giving some celebrities Twitter is like giving a kid a loaded gun,” says one publicist. “It's a double-edged sword, and if you have impulse control problems—which strangely a lot of celebrities seem to have—it can be very dangerous.”
