Lagerfeld Slams 'Fat Mummies'

Karl Lagerfeld won't be joining the real women revolution anytime soon...

(Newser) – Karl Lagerfeld is not a fan of Brigitte magazine’s recent decision to stop using models in its pages. The 71-year-old designer tells Focus magazine the decision is “absurd” and “no one wants to see round women,” the Guardian reports. The women who complain about models, Lagerfeld says, “are fat mummies sitting with their bags of crisps in front of the television, saying that thin models are ugly.”

I prefer round women. I believe most men do. This guy probably considers women who are 130 lbs to be fat. How warped his mind is.

Wow! Dontlikeyou, I always thought you were a fat, smelly, sweaty mother of 5 who wore orange stretch pants, shopped in Walmart and lived in a trailer park. I guess I was right!

Lagerfeld is a dinosaur from yesteryear. Many men like real women with curves and are disgusted by visible ribs and hip bones. I don't like anything under a size 6. Reply

Why does there have to be one or the other, can't there be parts of the fashion market that appeal to both the 'real' and 'unreal'. Reply
