(Newser) – A Connecticut university supplying interns to the David Letterman show has initiated stepped-up measures to "diligently" oversee the program to "ensure that our interns are out of harm's way." The precautions follow leaks indicating that the randy talk-show host bedded at least one NYU intern among the unnamed "staff members" he recently confessed to sleeping with. Despite the revelations, Quinnipiac will continue sending interns to the program, reports TMZ.

Interns are OF AGE. I guess the colleges don't think that adult females can take care of themselves.

Wouldn't it be smarter to drop supplying the interns?
