3 Teens Set Another on Fire, Police Say

15-year-old victim in Florida will be in hospital for 5 months

(Newser) – Three Florida teens have been charged with the brutal crime of dousing another teenager with a flammable liquid and setting him on fire. The 15-year-old victim, who was sitting by a pool at the time of the attack, is in serious condition and is expected to remain hospitalized for 5 months. He suffered burns on 75% of his body.

The three male suspects, two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old, are charged with aggravated assault, reports the Miami Herald. It looks to be a revenge attack: On Sunday, victim Michael Brewer stopped a juvenile from stealing his father's bicycle. He stayed home from school on Monday for fear of retaliation and was attacked later in the afternoon.

I realize they're teenagers, but I don't know how you can ever let these three out on the street again. I don't know how you rehabilitate somebody who can light another person on fire. Reply

If the kid who got set on fire were my kid, I would pray for the day that those sadistic little fucks would be let out, so I could tie them all to the back of my old bronco and show them some real sadistic shit.

Jeebus may not have the wrong idea. The more "civilized" this nation becomes the more we see the surge of violence upon our children. 100 years ago local communities worked together and when they found a local man who beat his wife he was then beaten, placed on a rail and tared and feathered as they explained to him how that was an unacceptable behavior. The wife was then cared for by the community as were ay children. Same went for many other social crimes. Now we have laws that no longer work because "the offender is a minor": or some jerk off DA makes a plea deal or a cop forgets to cross his or her T's properly leavening a loophole for some shiest-er lawyer to exploit and never forget the judge who simply doesn't feel like putting someone away because he ort she is having a bad hair day.... You want to end the cycle? End the life of the offender, televise it and show it in a class and explain that actions have consequences. Have you ever personally known a burn victim with burns over 75% of their body? It isn't a pretty sight when the skin actually falls off the victim like an over cooked turkey, it isn't an easy job when the Nurse or Aid have to literally scrub away the burnt flesh to try and promote some type healing nor are the many years of skin transplants and graphs just so the person has lips again or something to use for a damn nose. Until you personally know someone who has been the victim of such a crime stay out of the pissing contest, they are victimized twice, once by the assholes and again in the court....... This kid who is burnt may get off lucky, at 75% chances are the kid will die and that indeed would be lucky for the child. The little bastages need to die for this, plain and simple.
