Teabaggers Turn on Graham

GOP senator pilloried for op-ed with John Kerry on dangers of climate change

(Newser) – Sen. Lindsey Graham drew the ire of teabaggers at a town hall yesterday for colluding with John Kerry on climate legislation. Angry protesters called the South Carolina Republican a “traitor” who made a “pact with the devil” by “going to bed” with the Massachusetts Dem in an op-ed detailing the dangers of CO2 emissions and the like, the Huffington Post reports.

In the New York Times, the two pledged to “find consensus that adheres to our core principles and leads to both a climate change solution and energy independence.” Outrage over Graham’s trespass was not limited to the town hall; in the blogosphere, he’s been labeled not only a “RINO” but also an “asshat” and a “wussypants, girly-man, half-a-sissy.” To make matters worse, Graham has declared “it doesn't bother me one bit” if a solution comes “on President’s Obama’s watch.”

Moderation; How f**king poignant. Absolutely spot on. These so called "conservatives" on this blog will NEVER have enough money to be a conservative. What a shame.

You've got to hand it to the conservatives. They have mainstream American citizens believing energy independence is evil. Conservatives know how to strike just the right chord with the middle class. It is an art to be able to drum up that ugliness in even the most ordinary, wonderful people that make up the vast majority of this country. How sad that rich conservatives have the money that can actually turn a country against itself. These tea party organizers would have nothing to do with these people if you were to sit down and have dinner with them. They would have absolutely nothing in common whatsoever.
