'Race Hammers' Crushed Rush Deal: O'Reilly

Limbaugh 'should sue' NBC, CNN for '1984 attack'

Share

(Newser) – "Thought police" in the media who have unfairly skewered Rush Limbaugh as a racist spoiled his bid to become an owner of the Rams, charged right-wing media maven Bill O'Reilly. Now that he's been dumped from the buyers' group after the controversy over his participation, Limbaugh should sue media outlets like NBC and CNN, which helped screw the deal, said O'Reilly. O'Reilly insisted his researchers could not find a single "racially insensitive" soundbite from Limbaugh, who has been pummeled with "false racial hammers."

This is "1984 stuff, thought police," said O'Reilly. "Punishing speech, even when provocative, is not what America is all about." Limbaugh himself said that people are trying to "destroy" his reputation by "tagging" him as a racist. "We are in the process of working to get apologies and retractions with the force of legal action against every journalist who has published these entirely fabricated quotes about me, slavery and James Earl Ray," he said.

Not worth mentioning because this is about money and not politics. Rush started his radio show after the FCC dropped the rule for equal time and right wing hate was more money than left wing stupid. O'Reilley is so stupid that Rupert hates him and Rush too. He was on some stupid celebrity gossip show till about eight years ago until he learned to lie and make money off you idiots who think that he is anything but dumb.. Rupert is mad at him because when he sexually abused the woman on his show she sued and Rupert had to pay to keep it quiet. "I want to be in the shower with you and rub you all over with a faloufal". He's so stupid he doesn't know the word loofah, and you're so stupid that you known nothing about him. But Rupert was so smart to pay her and all those other chicks many bucks to keep his O'Reilley franchise going. Idiots. Reply

"Rush started his radio show after the FCC dropped the rule for equal time..." That rule was an affront to free speech. If the left wing hate mongers and flame throwers had an audience, Air America would not have gone bankrupt and PBS wouldn't need my hard earned tax dollars. You can choose to listen to Rush, O'Reilly, etc., or change the channel. Stop your whining!

@Cling, What does that tell you? "If the left wing hate mongers and flame throwers had an audience..." But clearly, there is an audience for the likes of Rush and O'Reilly. The Independents don't seem to have a "hate monger" audience, either. Unfair? I don't think so, but those facts do make a clear statement.

Fox would have gone bankrupt if Murdock hadn't carried them at a loss for years. Air America was expected to be instantaneously profitable, Fox 'News'wasn't. Of course execs from many companies are happy to advertise on a channel that pushes things like tax cuts for the rich and get the middle class to support the agenda of the rich.

The FCC dumping the equal time rule was correct. The rule turned into a form of censorship. If people want to pay to hear idiots like Rush and Beck 24 hours a day on one station then that is their right under the Constitution. The left has no corresponding media because they generally do not need to be told what to think. They do it themselves. Such behavior would cause a brain aneurysm in your average dittohead.
