Poster's also open to 'business deals'

(Newser) – Guess who's joined LinkedIn and is eager for gainful employment? A poster identified as always-surprising GOP rogue Sarah Palin is actively seeking "job inquiries" on the Internet network for professionals. Anyone interested can peruse the posted resume, which touts "Governor, State of Alaska" as the most recent gig. Besides job inquiries, the poster is also interested in "business deals" and "getting back in touch."

I support Obama and am as liberal as anyone I know. While I don't support the Conservative Idealism and hate the lies put out by the radio neo-cons, I am not sure I understand the down right hatred of Palin I see on this site. Can someone explain to me why you hate her so much? Reply

I can't say that I hate her, but I do believe that she is in way over her head and I can't understand what anybody sees in her. To me it seems like most like her basically because she is hot and woman. That she has lied about several things doesn't help her cause with me anyway.

I don't hate her; I mock her ridiculousness, I am offended by her lack of intelligence and awareness of world events, I am sick of the trite little talking points she uses to try to sell herself as a politician and I have nothing but contempt for her attempt to force her silly religion down the throat of all Americans. I believe you confuse hate with contempt. Nobody hates Palin, in fact I'd dare say she provides this site with many hours of comedy. Just because people speak out againts her for very legit reasons, (shes a quitter, she lies, she race baits, she has no intelligence.....) I never see anyone saying "I hate her" but if I missed anyone saying that I apologize. I hold her in contempt, but hating...not hardly. I held the Bush admiistration in contempt, but hating...naaw...hate, violence and talk of armed rebellion against a democratically elected President is a right wing characteristic.

I am a male member of Team Sarah. So I think my studying Sarah Palin as an activist for her can help answer your question. In the beginning, she was a politician known by few people outside her state of Alaska. But one decision she made changed all that: when she decided to keep Trig instead of abort him. One of the sacred cows of liberalism is abortion. The way liberals think, Sarah Palin was "supposed" to abort Trig. But she didn't. Because of her devout Christian belief against abortion, she kept Trig. Liberalism got so furious over that, she became an instant symbol of hate in liberalism. Liberals have done everything they could to destroy her, not just here but in the mainstream liberal news overall. Liberals still come at her with all guns loaded. There is much more I can say because I'm a Bible-believing minister who has invested a lot of time and work in Team Sarah. But I hope my concise reply is the answer you're looking for. I add in closing: Thank you for your reasoning approach. To be perfectly honest with you, the reason why conservatives say such negative things about liberals is because of things like the outright hatred against Sarah Palin on this web site, instead of debating and reasoning things out. I am open to discussing things with anyone. For example, when I used to work in a factory with a Druid Witch Wiccan Holy Man, I discussed things in a respectful way with even him, and he likewise to me. I even leave the door open to you for further discussion of things, if you continue this reasoning approach on whatever issue needs looking at. Thank you.

@Rural Gentleman - Sarah Palin has been spreading lies in an attempt to gain relevancy. One of the many reasons that I don't like the woman is because she said that instituting health care reform would be akin to installing death panels that will kill the weak. This is simply untrue and was a statement that was only meant to pander to her base. Other things that she has implied is that Obama wasn't born in the US, is a muslim (so what if he is?), and pals around with terrorists. Now this personally offends me because I am a child of Nigerian immigrants that was born to the US, somewhat similar to Barack Obama's situation. Sarah Palin says outlandish things and avoids the media because she is scared of actually having to debate anyone. This is why I don't like her.

I can't accept her as a political figure because her religion says the more death destruction and mayhem we can instigate worldwide, the sooner Sarah Palin gets to meet Jesus. I am a male member of Team Sarah. Even though there's a lot of strong language I can use in reply to this post, I'll put on the brakes and say this much: I advise you to not underestimate her. She is like a new base hitter in Professional Baseball. She comes to bat against a well-known pitcher. Because she is new, he takes her way too lightly and gives her an easy pitch. She responds by hitting that sucker out of the park, with egg on the pitcher's face in front of national TV cameras. That is what Sarah Palin can do to her political opponents. Whether you like her or not, I advise you to not take her lightly. She can "crunch your baseball out of the park" if you don't take her seriously enough. She has shaken up American politics big-time, and trust me, she's by no means through yet. For starters, her supporters are screaming for her to get back into the thick of politics. As for her, she has already said she is praying for God's guidance on the matter and she's looking for open doors of opportunity. God ordered me personally to pray for her at least once a day. God doesn't waste His breath on something that won't be important some time in the future. So I'm waiting to see what happens next. Thank you.

I also find it rather offensive to hear sometimes that her looks got her where she is. I don't agree with her politics but as a woman I admire how hard she worked to get where she is. Lib, as a woman, I hate that thought, too, but it is a fact that the glass window is still there. With men in most positions of power, a woman doesn't even have to screw her way to the top if she is eye candy. Yes, it sucks, but it is a fact, too. And I agree some degree of.....well, something and I hesitate to use the word "intelligence" would still have to be involved, but sadly, there are politicians who are "fronts" for the people behind them because they are attractive and charismatic.

Now while I agree with your principled stance - the reality as you well know is very different. The halo effect + the media's love of an attractive visage attached to a sound bite have put paid to principled but bald, ugly, bad teeth, unattractive politicians getting too far up the ladder - Kennedy's easy charm didn't just break the mould - it built a whole new one. Hell, there's even been a movie star in the White House and a 'Terminator' as governor. Like I said, I agree with your principles, but my rose tinted specs are only so good.

Wow...I had a couple of classes to go to and a lot has been said. I went from asking a few simple questions to being an infiltrator for the Tea Party and coming here to stir up trouble. First of all luvroks, I never used the word "positions". And I never said "Obama always lies". Where did that come from? I said politicians lie and Obama does too. He isn't the pope. In 2007 he stated (and then again during the campaign) that he helped push through an ethics reform bill in Illinois that made lobbyists disclose the candidates for whom they paid money. The amendment did not say that and it never became a law. So what! They all lie. Him too. Second Ana58 Ken Dilanian and Matt Kelley Of USA Today retracted their claim that Palin made victims pay for their own rape kits. It wasn't true. It happened during her administration by the police chief, oh ya the one she fired by the way. I want the same results with this administration as most of you. I want don't like conservatism. However I will not be led blindly either. I just wanted to know why so much distain for her. When someone tells me they don't like her because of a reason that is false I will point it out. Reply

As a conservative minister and male member of Team Sarah, I need to post one thing on what LoudProudLib said earlier. This person said it's characteristic of conservatives to talk of armed rebellion against President Obama. My reply, as nicely as I can say it: none of it true. I spend major parts of my time with conservatives. Not one single time have I heard them talk about armed rebellion against Obama. We pray that American will turn around back to the Bible according to its original intent. But kill Obama? None of that is true. None. Zip. Zero. Nada. Goose egg. Go look for true quality evidence that conservatives allegedly want an armed overthrow of Obama's administration. You won't find any. Why? Because it doesn't exist. Why? Because it simply doesn't happen. The same thing liberals are charging conservatives with now is the same song different verse from the Clinton Administration. Anyone who opposed abortion and homosexuality was labeled religious extorting mobsters. But no charges stuck in Clinton's tax-paid investigation of Christian conservatives because none of it was true. Clinton wanted to "prove" that anyone who believes in the end times prophecies in the book of Revelation wanted to "help God along" by allegedly committing violence against society. Again, more tax-paid investigations against conservative Christians went to waste, because, again, there was no evidence, because none of the charges were true. How long with liberals keep accusing conservatives of violence against society when so such thing is happening, or ever has happened, or ever will happen? This sounds to me like liberals are determined to "prove their point" no matter what evidence is lacking for their case. I pray that God will deal with these liberals as needed for such untrue, uncalled-for language. Why? It's not just because these liberals are verbally attacking God's spiritual kids with God as their Heavenly Father. But also, whatever you do or say against God's spiritual kids you do or say against God Himself. That is heavy-duty truth to have to come to grips with. Therefore, while I'm in no position to make anyone do anything because this is a free country, I do recommend liberals back off from such untrue, uncalled-for language. I don't want to be in liberals' shoes when God says "Enough" and does something about it, like He has in the past. Reply
