Taliban Starts YouTube Channel

But its most disturbing clip was taken down

(Newser) – The jihad has come to YouTube: The Taliban has set up shop on the viral video site, posting two propaganda videos to its “Istqalmedia” channel, Fareed Zakaria noticed over the weekend. One, which you can see here, shows a variety of pastoral scenes set to Pashtun-language music. The other, which according to Zakaria included “hideous scenes of death and destruction,” has been taken down.

I was referring to the United States supplying the Taliban with weapons in the 80's to fight the Soviets. After the Soviets left Afghanistan, we cut funding and left the Taliban high and dry, to further build on their radical views. So, as Charlie Wilson said... "we fucked up the end game." And now we're paying for it. Read a book, or just don't be such a dick if you're confused.

You don't know what I believe or am "confused about". More relevant to this discussion, I didn't know what you were saying. Wilson is one of the most common English surnames. "Charlie" Wilson helps A LOT! Why didn't you say that to begin with? Learn how to discuss things and avoid these kinds of misunderstandings.

@ shonangreg, I think who he is speaking about it the one time VERY POWERFUL Senator from Texas who actually ran the war between Russia and Afghanistan by pushing for years for funding for weapons (then procuring those weapons personnaly in many cases) also he was the one who actually talked the USA into providing the Stinger Weapons to the Tribal Warlords that finished defeating the Russians. In truth Charlie Wilson's War was what that war was called in Washington Circles for years. He donated blood each time he traveled to Afghanistan and warlords adopted him into many of their tribes in the process, his blood flowed in their veins they would say. If not for Charlie Wilson's intervention the Russians would have walked across the entire country. Wilson says we (The Soviets and Americans) spent so much time watching each other we took our eyes off the real problem which were the War Lords themselves.
