Dubya's New Gig: Motivational Guru

George W. Bush headlines Texas 'mega show' with $19 tickets

Share

(Newser) – It sure ain't the G8: George W. Bush, nine months retired, is headlining a motivational speaking "mega show" in Fort Worth next week, which promises "more inspirational firepower than a stick of dynamite!" As the event's screaming website reveals, the former president is appearing alongside Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani, as well as the "legendary" quarterback Terry Bradshaw and an alleged "top sales expert." Cost to see the former commander in chief: $19, helpfully glossed as "not per person, but per office."

George W. Bush will be appearing at a motivational speaking event in Fort Worth. He's flanked by 'goal achievement' expert Robert Schuller and 'top sales expert' Tamara Lowe.

I find it interesting that they have to include him in a group along with Powell, Giuliani and a football hero. It's the equivalent of tying a pork chop around an ugly kids neck so the dog will play with him. Reply

Not really, I'm sure he would draw a crowd by himself, although, additional star power adds zing to any show ticket.
