(Newser) – Jets receiver Braylon Edwards could be catching a sentence of up to 6 months in jail for an alleged assault outside a Cleveland nightclub. Edwards, who may also face suspension from the NFL, is accused of punching a friend of NBA star LeBron James in the incident earlier this month, just two days before the Cleveland Browns traded him to the Jets. A Jets spokesman says the team was aware of the incident before the trade, reports the New York Post.
