Five Youths Held in 'Barbaric' Calif. Gang Rape

Victim knew one 15-year-old assailant, was drinking with them

(Newser) – San Francisco-area cops have arrested three more young men in the savage gang rape, beating, and robbery of a 15-year-old girl outside her homecoming dance while dozens more watched. Five youths are being held, ranging from a 15-year-old boy who knew the victim to a 21-year-old. The girl was drinking outside the dance Saturday night, reports the San Francisco Chronicle, and the group turned on her when she became drunk. Charges are expected today.

"This was a barbaric act. I still cannot get my head around the fact that numerous people either watched, walked away or participated in her assault," a Richmond cop tells the AP. "It's one of the most disturbing crimes in my 15 years as a police officer." Some students began transferring out of the school. "It's not safe there at all," said a 16-year-old girl. "I'm not going back."

It's too bad one of the "open carry" starbucks patrons wasn't there to stop these animals! The "open carrying" individual could've created a pause in time for the law enforcement to arrive. This is just another reason that we should be armed to protect ourselves from mob/animal mentality.

I feel physically ill and I feel helpless rage. I sure hope the justice system acts quickly, accurately and firmly. And I hope the girl gets good help and support.

No i am from michigan and that alone gives me the right to talk about how demacrat have and can distroy any state. Come to detriot some time and see what a liberal agenda can do. Any area where liberals have power is a damn disaster. This is why i now live in the west side of michigan, its conservitive values have created a wonderful place to live. Even with the auto industry struggling this state has the best workers in the world, give us a conservitive gov and its back to boom time. Look it up the last time we had a conservitive govener this state added jobs, now we have a canadian rat face in office and her answers were raise tax and kill small buisness as a result. Thay is what progessives do KILL people!

(NEWSER) - A jailbird California actor who played Doctor Evil's henchman in an Austin Powers film is suspected of killing his sex-offender cell mate, investigators have revealed. The 50-year-old victim was serving two years for failure to register as a sex offender. He was found dead in a cell in Wasco prison he shared with Joseph Hyungmin Son, 40, who played Random Task in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Son arrived at the prison last month to begin a life sentence for the 1990 Christmas Eve rape and torture of a California woman. An investigation is continuing, reports the LA Times . More»
