Shot Fired at Dobbs' Home

Bullet struck siding but didn't penetrate

(Newser) – A gun was fired at CNN commentator Lou Dobbs’ home while his wife and chauffeur talked outside earlier this month, New Jersey state police said today. Dobbs said the shot came after “weeks and weeks” of threatening phone calls—which he had not reported to police because of their frequency. A bullet, which police said was probably fired from a long rifle, lodged in the vinyl siding but did not make its way into the house, the Star-Ledger reports.

I am sorry to hear about the shooting incident. Thank God no one was hurt. Perhaps Nancy Pelosi was right. There are some very unstable people in this world listening to the back and forth going on who take it to this level. I am afraid this crap will reach a fevered pitch where someone is going to get hurt. That is not right. Not for anyone. Reply

This is WHY THERE SHOULD BE NO COMMENTARY NEWS. News stations need to report just fact. People at home are capable of making their own political decisions based on facts. If they are not, then they really have no business even voting. Sheep are not welcome anymore. Reply

If the American people can't make a comment on any subject in America then the idea that is America is dead. This country was created by many people with many ideas who all worked together to solve differences and avoid bloodshed. The person who uses a gun to silence another is the most un-American creature alive. "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." I took an oath long ago to uphold this idea and although I am long since retired I still hold fast to the idea

I disagree to an extent 6446. Some pretty irresponsible things can be uttered that do not warrant defense.
