Police Find 11th Body at Rapist's House

First victim identified, a 53-year-old woman missing for a year

(Newser) – Cleveland police found another body at the home of convicted rapist Anthony Sowell, bringing the total to 11. Law enforcement also identified the first victim found as 53-year-old Tonia Carmichael, who went missing last November. "We expected the worst when these bodies starting popping up," a relative tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We knew she could be one of them.” All the victims are black females, and at least five were strangled.

This story is disturbing on so many levels- firstly that a criminally insane person was released into society without being recognized as one, secondly that reports of missing women were (apparently) not thoroughly investigated by police, thirdly that the smell of decomposing corpses was not enough for someone, ANYONE, to look more closely at what might be causing it........then this evening I read an AP story in my local newspaper that said he was know to host bbqs for the neighborhood........has anyone else ever seen "Green Fried Tomatoes"? /"The secrets in the sauce-"/ (I hope I'm wrong) I do not support the death penalty but this man certainly needs to be put away for life with NO possibility of being released.
