(AP) – A US Army spokesman says the suspect in today's shootings at Fort Hood, Texas, is alive and was not killed by authorities responding to the attack. Lt. Gen. Bob Cone also says the death toll from the attack remains 12 after another victim died.

Authorities said immediately after today's attack that they had killed the suspected shooter, named as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, 39. But Cone now says the suspected shooter is alive and in stable condition. Cone offered little explanation to reporters at a news conference as to why the suspect was believed dead, saying only there was confusion at the hospital.

Military officials say the suspected shooter at Fort Hood, Texas, is Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.

Another Christian hypocrite sprouting off about something he doesn't understand. Funny how you can blame an entire religion based on the actions of radicals. McVeigh was a Christian, and so many others in this country who have numerous terribkle things, but their okay...because they look like you

Just stick this piece of shite in a military prison and let the other guys dismember him over a twenty year period. "Care for a little broken-up razor blade in your porridge this morning Nidal?" Death would have been a treat by comparison to what this dog is about to experience.

well armywife..I do have to admit YOU are a much more civilized and better person than I am...and obviously less prone to emotional reactivity...because If I was able to determine punishment it would be cruel, inhumane and barbaric...so it's probably a good thing I am not in that position :)
