(Newser) – Jason Rodriguez, the suspect in today's shooting spree at an office complex in downtown Orlando, Fla., is in police custody. During a manhunt in the area surrounded area following the shooting, which left one dead and five injured, a SWAT team located the suspect at his mother’s house. Rodriguez, 40, whom the Orlando police chief described as the "lone gunman," targeted an engineering and construction firm where he worked until being fired in 2007.

"They left me to rot," Rodriguez shouted in response to a reporter's question, apparently referring to his former employers.
