Yes, This Is Sammy Sosa

Blogosphere abuzz, but no word what's up with ex-slugger

(Newser) – The sports blogosphere is abuzz over some new photographs of Sammy Sosa in which the former performance-enhanced Chicago Cubs star looks much, much lighter-skinned than we’re used to. Seems nobody’s been able to reach Sosa yet, and nothing in the captions of photos from Tuesday’s event in Las Vegas yields clues, either. Some speculate it could be vitiligo, a skin disease that allegedly afflicted Michael Jackson; others see a bad makeup job.

Could be anything. Vitiligo, makeup, bleaching...doesn't really matter. Reply

Well, as we know from his career, he isn't afraid to take a drug.

It could be that he's no longer out in the sun for long periods of time. Or probably its the lighting at the event. The way a room is lit can make a huge difference. Just throwing out possibilities. Reply

If that's his vision of beauty, go for it. I'll be damned if someone is going to tell me what I can do to myself. Reply
