In Palin We Don't Trust: Fox Checks Coin Claim

GOP, not Dems, moved 'In God We Trust' to edge of coin

(Newser) – Even Fox News has started fact-checking Sarah Palin. Last night anchor Bret Baier responded to Palin's claim during a speech Friday that the phrase "In God We Trust" had recently moved from the face to the rim of the new dollar coin: Another case of Obama pushing a secular America, Palin implied. But as Baier joined Politico in pointing out, the coin redesign was actually commissioned in 2005—by a GOP-led government—and approved by George W Bush, TPM reports.

Linda, if I mae, everyone knows the geography...that's why she sounded so ridiculous. (I can't believe you actually just explained that to everyone) As for your bleeding heart story about a woman who chose to have kids at an early age and then fly around the country trying to get a degree, I don't buy it. You say she "had to be an adult with adult responsibilities". Bull! She made choices and had to deal with them. No one forced her to have five kids. There are many women and men out there who "have to be adults" and gladly sacrifice everything for the sake of their kids trying to make ends meet...but Sarah Palin is not one of them. Are you trying to convince everyone that she HAD to change schools for the sake of her kids? One semester at Hawaii Pacific U, 2 semesters in North Idaho, 2 semesters at the University of Idaho, 1 semester at Matanuska-Susitna College, and back to the University of Idaho for three semesters to get her degree in Journalism. No masters or doctorate degrees. You never mention post-graduate degrees in your post about Obama...I wonder why?

joanb Sorry - I forgot to add that she was also a mother as well as a wife, student and employee while she attended college. How can you insult that motivation?

Wow: Sweetie - you need a fact check. Tina Fey made the comment about seeing Russia from Alaska. If you check out a map, you will see that there is one section in which they are very close. About 30 miles, I think, and you can see the shores from either side. It is thought that millions of years age, this is where Alaska and Russia were attached so that man could travel from one area to the other. Plus, she went to 5 schools. Remember that she was a married woman and a student - and probably worked a little - while she traveled and still attended college. Obama went to 2 colleges for his undergraduate degree - and he admits that he spent wasted time drinking, drugging and partying when he should have been studying. He went to college as a child. Palin had to be an adult with adult responsibilities - just like millions of women have had to do. That is why there are community colleges as well. Not everyone can get a free ride to college without having to worry about where the money to pay for it will come from. You have insulted working women - and men - who have had to work hard to achieve their dream of a college education. For shame. And, get a good Atlas and learn. There is no reason to allow ignorance to rule.
