Stewart Catches Hannity Faking Video Footage

'If I didn't know better, I'd think they put two different days together'

(Newser) – Sean Hannity should know by now that Jon Stewart will go to the tape. The Daily Show host caught Hannity using old footage—from Glenn Beck’s 9/12 rally, no less—to make Thursday’s anti-health care bill rally appear to have, as Michele Bachmann and Hannity claimed, 20,000 to 45,000 attendees. The Washington Post reported the number to be closer to 10,000. Watch the video above.

Also, that's not the way a show is produced. The control room wouldn't just randomly have an old tape queued up and ready to be accidentally played. For a live or live to tape broadcast, they load all of what they need and have it ready to go. And as jojo said, it would be further ridiculous to think they accidentally did it seeing as how it is an edited package which mixes the new and old footage.

If you look closely they edited in/out signs to make it a little bit different. There was an actual attempt to fool people here.

Once again FOX impeaches it's credibility. Well, to be honest, you can't blame an entire channel over the mistake of one show. If anyone if to blame, it's Sean Hannity, not the network, especially since Hannity has stated numerous times he and his crew doubel check and fact check everything prior to presenting a story.

@Shannonals - The entire channel consists of the likes of Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly, three stooge-like FOX&Friends et. al. Occasionally something factual comes out of Sheppard Smith or Britt Hume. But beyond that, pretty much zilch.
