Prejean Throws Smiling Tantrum on Larry King

Ex-Miss Calif. rips out microphone to avoid question from gay caller

(Newser) – Showing she could also win top honors in a Miss Passive-Aggression pageant, Carrie Prejean last night blanked out Larry King's questions about her recent lawsuit settlement by repeatedly calling King "inappropriate"—all the while flashing a blindingly white smile. Prejean's pageant smile only faltered a bit when a gay caller asked her about gay marriage, prompting her to rip out her microphone so she wouldn't hear the question.

Radar reports that Prejean settled the lawsuit when pageant officials confronted her with a sex tape.

Sure Carrie, refuse to talk about your recent self-inflcited scandals, because people actually tuned in to hear your big ideas for fixing the economy. -- Idiot. Reply

True, but if she had an agreement ahead of time as far as what she was going to talk about and not talk about, and if she had an agreement for no phone calls, AND if King agreed ahead of time, then he should have known better. If he thought he had nothing better to talk about than those pre-agreed taboo subjects of which he knew she wouldn't speak, then he shouldn't have put her on the air.

@paul123 -- I suppose "if" she did have such an agreement with LK then he crossed the line, but we don't know that so until we do, there's no point speculating. But the thing is that if she doesn't want to take callers, doesn't want talk about her sex tape, doesn't want to talk about the pageant or her views on homosexuality... what else IS there for her to talk about?

@ the person who gave me the thumbs down -- ok, so tell me what there is for her to talk about. Seriously.

@keybored: @ the 3:20 mark, she mentions that the publicist discussed that there were to be no phone calls. Now, in your defense, she does not say explicitly that the case and the settlement were off limits too, but I am going to assume that this was also the case per her unwillingness to discuss the subject and by her reaction. As far as what she does have to discuss (I was not the one who gave you a thumbs down) really, she does not seem to have much to discuss but maybe the pageant and why she believes she was discriminated against.
