(Newser) – CNN political reporter and State of the Union host John King will replace the abruptly departed Lou Dobbs in CNN's 7pm weekday slot starting early next year. Aside from hosting the network's Sunday political gabfest, King is known for using a touch-screen “magic map” to illustrate his election analysis. “There is a lot of noise and conflict in our political discourse, which is fun to cover,” a “thrilled” King tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Good, King is smarter and better looking by far than that old haggard man Dobbs, not even the dye job made him look good.

John King will anchor the program--but he will never replace Lou Dobbs.

I only hope that Keith Olberman keeps doing his Lou Dobbs impressions on MSNBC. They crack me up!
