(Newser) – Brooke Hundley is shocked—shocked!—that she’s “been called a homewrecker” and Jay Leno used her “to get a cheap laugh” after her affair with Steve Phillips got them both fired from ESPN. The 22-year-old talks about the scandal for the first time, telling Good Morning America that she regrets her mistakes—and understands scorned wife Marni Phillips’ pain.

"I think the only thing I could really say to her is that as someone whose family has been ripped apart over this just as much as someone who has, you know, 500 phone calls, emails, letters, paparazzi outside my apartment, reporters wanting me to talk and to say something, that I understand her pain," Hundley says."I mean, I don't expect her to come running out to support me, to be on my side.”
