Dow Up 30 on Mixed Data

Street ekes out gains in final hour

(Newser) – Stocks ended a seesaw session with modest gains as data for October retail sales and industrial production registered modest advances but failed to meet expectations, the Wall Street Journal reports.

  • The Dow rose 30 points to close at 10,437.
  • The Nasdaq added 5 points, settling at 2,204.
  • The S&P 500 gained 1 point to close at 1,110.
