Diversity Isn't a Strength

'Irritating cliché' should be ditched in wake of Fort Hood

(Newser) – "Diversity is a strength" has become the most irritating cliché in America, and was used to ludicrous effect after the Fort Hood shootings, argues Ann Coulter. Diversity "has never been anything but a problem" throughout history, Coulter writes in Human Events, pointing to Israel, China, Canada, Rwanda, and south-central Los Angeles as examples, and comparing diversity to cancer and pollution.

Liberals celebrate diversity "only in the case of superficial characteristics like race, gender, sexual preference and country of origin," but reject it when it's needed, "such as in 'diversity' of legal forums," Coulter writes. The kind of diversity lawmakers should be aiming for, she argues, is the kind that would mean people like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed don't have to be tried in the same civilian court as Martha Stewart.

Mere nonsense makes more sense than 'diversity is a strength.' If Gen. Casey's wildly inappropriate use of this lunatic cliché in the aftermath of the Fort Hood massacre doesn't kill it, nothing will. - Ann Coulter

Sarah has run a state with a 9 billion dollar economy, your community organizer is proving he can`t run this country. Nothing big o has said on the campaign trail has come to pass. Also, this country is in worse shape now than when he started. Oh waht a minute let`s blame Bush. He is nothing more than a bad joke hoisted on the american people. Ann is right we are so caught up with diversity that we don`t want to offend anyone. This dope muslim that killed those people should have been profiled and stopped before he went on this rampage. I am not for diversity when we are afraid to do the right thing to protect innocent lives.

ROTFL @ Sarah_Fan4Ever ... since when was your ilk the new vanguard of feminism? LOL ... as if. Could you explain for the class exactly what "position of power" Palin hasn't either failed in or walked away from recently?

Could you please cite a lie? And as far as a "whipping his paranoid base into a deluded frenzy" what about the lame lying attacks on Bush and the fainting fans at Obama's rallies?
