(Newser) – McDonald’s is getting a makeover, starting with one New York restaurant that now features a sleek, European-inspired look, flat-screen TVs, and free wi-fi. The redesign features employees in all-black uniforms and “Danish Modern furniture,” reports the AP—or, as Daniel Maurer writes in New York, “knockoff mod furniture, laptop outlets, and other trimmings.” He adds, “It’s great that they’re trying to make the McRib experience a little classier, but really, it looks like Swatch had a baby with Ikea, and that is not a good thing."

Does that mean that they will be selling beer and charging for napkins? They do it in Germany.

LOL, objectivemind, you have a point there. Sadly it seems like you can tell an American by the size of their belly. Funny when you think how much Europeans eat processed meat and smoke like chimneys. They're not exactly healthy either.

Really? Didn't they just make-over their stores with a coffee house theme when McCafe came into town? Wtf
