(Newser) – Kate Moss has drawn fire from public health groups for saying she lives by the motto "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” The phrase is common on pro-anorexia websites. Advocates slammed the comment as “dangerous” and “unhelpful," the BBC reports. A Moss representative says the remark to fashion website WWD was "taken out of context and completely misrepresented. For the record, Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice."

Here's the exchange in the printed interview: Question: "Do you have a motto?" Answer: "There are loads. There’s 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.' That’s one of them. You try and remember, but it never works."

Wasn't she a model back in the early nineties?

Amen to this. It's completely ridiculous. It just shows that at one time, there was some fatism in our culture. Now it's shifted the complete other way. If a middle-aged housewife who lost 100 pounds had said this, she would be on Oprah, the View, and who knows what else. It's the best diet advice you can give. These people are just jealous that some people actually have the drive to follow that advice.

I have heard that comment all my life - and by groups such as Weight Watchers. PAAA-LEASE
