Beck Will Host Conventions to Educate America

He's shifting toward political organizer, plans big DC rally

(Newser) – Glenn Beck is fashioning himself into a political organizer. Beck unveiled his promised "big plan" today at a Florida rally, in a letter to supporters, and in an interview with the New York Times. He plans a series of educational "conventions" across the country to teach people "how to be a political force," along with voter-registration drives. These will culminate in August or September with a DC march that will coincide with—ta da—the release of a new Beck book on solutions called The Plan.

“We’ll be looking for ways to get people involved in politics,” he tells the Times. “I hear people saying, ‘OK, now what?’ They’re calling their representative, but it’s time to get more proactive.”

I know that the U. S. taxpayer paid to develop the internet and now AT&T and other corporations are trying to steal control of it. I know U. S. corporations have left superfund sites all over this country for the people to live with while they spend their profits. I know U. S. taxpayers paid to develop sattelite TV technology, and are getting no return on their taxpayer investment, because private corporations get to steal the profit. You are the one denying the truth.

your view is so flawed, so the local gov does in fact get tax rev. ITs called giving folks a job! by giving a tax break on a building you ENCOURAGE a buisness to exspand. your a joke, go spew your hate with dly at the top of every post, you have now idea how an eco works day to day.

Every penny given away in corporate wealfare is another penny the people have to pay in taxes. If a corporation gets a 10 year tax break to build a factory, that's ten years of taxes the community doesn't get. It would be fine if the corporatists were satisfied with that, but the first chance they get, they threaten to move away to Mexico, if they don't get another ten year tax break. They are thieves and robbers and hogs at the public trough.
