Wait if you are a vegetarian, you eat plants that consume carbon dioxide. If you eat meat you eat animals that expel carbon dioxide... I'm gonna save the planet and eat animals!

@ Zaius - I'm not saying there isn't some nutritional value in eating meat - obviously the protein is great and fatty acids as you mentioned with grass fed beef and free range chickens. Unfortunately, the vast majority of chicken, beef and all other animals consumed by humans are not raised in these conditions. Any meat you see in the supermarket, unless priced and marked otherwise, comes from factory farms where animals are nothing more than a resource and the nutritional value of the meat is sacrificed for cost cutting measures. Albert Einstein once said, "Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." I completely agree with him; it's the number one contributor of greenhouse gases and a plethora of other environmental issues, not to mention how inhumane it is to breed and slaughter millions of animals just to fulfill a greedy desire. I guarantee if people see the conditions by which their meat is raised, first hand, as I have, we will have a lot more vegetarians out there.
