(AP) – The couple who infamously crashed President Barack Obama's first state dinner are peddling their story to broadcast networks for hundreds of thousands of dollars, a television executive says. The executive told the AP that representatives for Michaele and Tareq Salahi contacted networks to urge them to "get their bids in" for an interview, and that the Virginia couple was looking for a payment in the mid-six figures range.

Meanwhile, CNN confirmed that the Salahis had canceled an appearance they had scheduled for Larry King Live tomorrow. Michaele Salahis is a reality TV hopeful trying to get on Bravo's The Real Housewives of DC.

It is rather alarming that they could sneek in with two heads of state in the room, not to mention the celebrities. That lehenga is very pretty, though. Reply

these people make me sick. this, ladies and gentlemen, is what we have reduced ourselves to. If anyone thinks for a moment this wasn't their plan from the beginning, to crash the party then cash in on it, they are being naive. Reply

You are right. It wasn't about meeting the president or famous people. It was about reality show cash. And they should go to jail for it.

These folks belong in jail. If they had been anything other than "seemingly" rich and white, that's where they would be. I'm sick of preferential status for rich white people.
