Tiger Woods is "pretty sore" physically and his feelings are hurt after 2 days of speculation about his car crash early Friday morning—but if Florida Highway Patrol investigators want to hear his story, they'll have to wait. A scheduled meeting was canceled this afternoon for the second consecutive day, the Orlando Sentinel reports. In a statement posted on his website, the world's No. 1 golfer blasts "the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me."
In the statement, Woods praised his wife, Elin, for responding "courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble." The statement went up around 2pm, an hour before the original time of the meeting. "This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me," Woods writes, adding somewhat unnecessarily, "I'm human and I'm not perfect." Also today, police made public a 911 call in which a neighbor says Woods "hit the tree. I see him, and he's laying down."
