New Google Controversy: Aborted Fetus Photo
The Google Maps page for a New York City Planned Parenthood is shown in this screen shot.   (Google)

First there was the Michelle Obama chimp picture; now Google has another controversy on its hands with what appears to be a doctored Google Maps “Place Page” for a Planned Parenthood location in New York City. The Bleecker Street Planned Parenthood’s page features two pictures of dead fetuses. The page apparently was created falsely or hacked; "the second case seems more likely, as all the other info on the page is correct," Adrian Chen writes for Gawker.

“Users have become increasingly sophisticated in the ways they game an increasingly sophisticated Google to political ends,” writes Chen. “The challenge for Google is to find a way to regulate this stuff in the future and guarantee good search results without tripping the censorship wire.”
