Music videos rule the charts, user-generated stuff absent

"Single Ladies" video was pure dopeness. Change "viral" to "most-watched" and we've got a list.

Quibbling with the word 'viral' in this context is in order. This is a transformation of the ad industry. Interestingly, corporate promotional videos (trailers, music videos, etc) and straight out video ads, such as precede the videos shown here, are increasing in volume almost directly proportionate to the lost advertising in print and TV media. This is simply a new advertising format gaining traction but it's not viral or spontaneous. As Snarfeh so insightfully points out, passive views without individuals actively passing around a video via email, facebook, etc. can't really be considered viral. It ism as Snarfeh says, merely high traffic. It would be interesting to know what the "150 different platforms" were.
