O.J. 'Sorry' —Dealer Ready to Forget Heist

(Newser) – A sports memorabilia dealer who accused O.J. Simpson of armed robbery appears to be willing to forgive and foget, reports the New York Daily News. Simpson allegedly  barged into the collector's Las Vegas hotel room and stole memorabilia at gunpoint, the dealer told police. But now, "as far as I'm concerned, it's over," Simpson told the News. "We talked; it's behind us."

Collector Alfred Beardsley said O.J. apologized and now "I want this thing to go away; I have health problems." Simpson had claimed that he and some "golfing buddies" went to Beardsley's room to reclaim personal souvenirs. "If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer," a new book by Simpson, who was acquitted of killing his wife, is currently a top seller on Amazon.com.
