Actress slams president's Darfur policy in Newsweek

Angelina Jolie “hates” President Obama so much that she and partner Brad Pitt “get in nasty arguments all the time” about him, sources tell Us—and she lets a bit of her distaste shine through in a piece she wrote for Newsweek on Darfur. “When the administration says it intends to work to 'improve the lives of the people of Darfur,' I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse.”

Noting that “government-supported militia have left 300,000 dead and 2.7 million people internally displaced,” Jolie faults Obama—who, a source tells Us, she thinks is "all smoke and mirrors”—for not doing anything to enforce warrants issued by an international court for the arrest of Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, and other leaders. “How is the Obama administration's approach to Sudan an evolution of justice?” the actress and UN goodwill ambassador asks.
