Survey shows many New Yorkers hear, but few complain

Loud lovemaking called nuisance; recording played in court

(NEWSER) - A judge in England has upheld the conviction of a woman whose loud noises during sex "constituted a statutory nuisance," the BBC reports. Caroline Cartwright appealed an earlier decision, saying she had a right to "respect for her private and family life," but the court disagreed. And so did her neighbors. Woman whose groans annoyed even the deaf in custody for breaching court order

(NEWSER) - A British woman whose amorous moans and groans were so loud that even a partially deaf neighbor complained has been jailed for breaching a court order, the Daily Telegraph reports. The woman, 48, was "banned from making excessive noise" anywhere in England earlier this month but she landed back in court yesterday after neighbors complained she flouted the ban several times within days. (NEWSER) - Police have arrested a British man for allegedly keeping his HIV status secret while having unprotected sex with women, the BBC reports. Cops in Cornwall and Devon captured the suspect after multiple complaints from women who say they learned of his infection after sleeping with him. The man, 39, can be charged with causing grievous bodily harm, the Press Association reports. He was released on bail until May. More»
