(Newser) – In a remarkable display of offensive fireworks, or perhaps just defensive ineptitude, Cleveland survived six touchdown passes and 400 yards from Cincinnati's Carson Palmer to win 51-45. The Browns got five scores from Derek Anderson, who replaced last week's starter, the woeful Charlie Frye. The teams combined for over 1,000 yards of offense.

Two touchdowns and 200 yards of the offensive headway belonged to lovably mouthy receiver Chad Johnson, who was festively showered in beer after leaping into Cleveland's rowdy Dawg Pound. Browns signal-caller Derek Anderson's explosion came a week after the team shipped out Charlie Frye, who had lasted one woeful half-hour as the Browns' starting quarterback.
