Browns Survive Ohio Shootout

Bengals tumble 51-45 despite Palmer's 6 touchdowns

(Newser) – In a remarkable display of offensive fireworks, or perhaps just defensive ineptitude, Cleveland survived six touchdown passes and 400 yards from Cincinnati's Carson Palmer to win 51-45. The Browns got five scores from Derek Anderson, who replaced last week's starter, the woeful Charlie Frye. The teams combined for over 1,000 yards of offense.

Browns signal-caller Derek Anderson's explosion came a week after the team shipped out Charlie Frye, who had lasted one woeful half-hour as the Browns' starting quarterback.
