Fear that the Fed might raise interest rates earlier than thought, a credit downgrade for Greece's debt, and a rise in weekly jobless claims sent the markets tumbling today, the Wall Street Journal reports.

  • The Dow fell 133 points to close at 10,308.
  • The Nasdaq lost 27 points, closing at 2,180.
  • The S&P 500 dropped 13 points, settling at 1,096.
