(Newser) – A 225-pound pediatrician videotaped himself sexually assaulting children as young as 3 months old in his examination rooms, according to Delaware court documents. During one brutal assault of a 2-year-old, Dr. Earl Bradley had a "violently enraged expression on his face," an investigator said in a sworn statement. The detective described the assaults as among the most "violent and brutal on a child of any age" that he had seen.

Bradley, 56, is seen on the videotapes in his gaily decorated exam rooms yelling at children as they cry and try to run away, reports the Wilmington News Journal. He has been charged in rape and other sexual assault of nine girls. He's suspected of attacks on at least 16 children, and likely several others. The recent videotapes were filmed since August of this year. Police investigated the pediatrician after a toddler complained to her mom earlier this month that the doctor had hurt her. He's being held in lieu of $2.9 million bail.
